You show up everyday and do the work.
Even with doing everything right, sometimes life still kicks your butt!
Setbacks happen ... problems occur.
I got hit by a big one on Saturday night. It hit where it hurt ... a problem affecting one of the kids. Knocked the wind out of me and I didn't have any obvious solutions.
Racked my brain and stressed out a lot. Saturday night ... didn't go to sleep until 7 AM Sunday morning. At 9 AM, back up working on the problem. Today, still working on it. Not completely solved yet.
However, during all that time and stress, a shift happened.
At first, I was lost in the worry. I was not at my best. Lots of things swirling around in my head and no solutions coming to mind. All emotions and limited logic.
Then I said to myself ... time to stop stressing and start really thinking. At some point you have stop grieving that things didn't work out like you planned and get focused on fixing things.
It is now 24 hours later, and the problem is not solved yet ... but I think I am about half way there.
