| Hi Nguyen, Today I want to write about my top 3 sources of traffic from this past year. The niche websites that I own fall into 3 main categories: - Physical product (ecommerce) sites that dropship physical products (clothing, appliances, etc)
- Affiliate sites (ones that promote other people's products)
- Digital product sites (where I'm the product owner)
And this year I've used a variety of traffic sources to drive visitors (and sales) to those sites. Here are the top 3 sources of traffic for me this year: Number 1: Paid traffic (Facebook) I've spent several thousand dollars per day on FB ads this year, and made around double back. So the profits have been huge. I've done this mostly in the digital products space. It has come with some challenges, including: - Ad account shut downs (that have usually been reinstated on review)
- The need to test different copy and landing pages, in order to get things to a point of decent profit
- The need to test different audiences / interests to find profitable ones
Though overall it has been highly successful and one area that I'm keen to build on next year. Number 2: YouTube (Organic) In some of my niches that I'm involved in, I've looked to build YouTube channels. One channel in particular, where we focussed more on 'list' type videos, has done very well. We just reached 100k subscribers to our Diabetes Smarts channel, and it's growing rapidly. It monetises well, and I have plans on creating and growing more successful channels over the next year ahead. Number 3: Shopping Ads (Google and Bing) For physical products that I dropship, I've been following training from another marketer (my friend Aidan). I started out with some teething issues getting things going, but now I'm making in the low thousands per month with this approach… …And given that I spend very little time on this venture, and yet it's still growing… …Also the fact that some of his students are making in the tens of thousands per week… …It's one that I'm excited about growing in the next year also. So I've asked Aidan to assist me in creating a bunch of training on this, that I will be releasing soon (either late December or early January). Ok, so that's it for today's update. I should mention that I have used several other sources of traffic. YouTube paid ads have been going ok, and look to be highly promising. I haven't done well with Snapchat ads, nor with Pinterest ads. I've done well with Solo Ads also, though they can be hit and miss. As with anything, testing is key… And then scaling up in areas that are working well is key. That's it from me today. I hope you are enjoying the start of the holiday season! :) Talk soon. Kind regards, |
